Customizing Your Workspace Settings

Your WorkOwl Workspace is where your projects, teams, and clients come together—but it doesn’t have to look or feel the same for everyone. Personalizing your workspace helps you stay organized, align your team’s workflow, and make your dashboard feel like home.

Let’s walk through how to customize your settings in just a few easy steps.


Step 1: Open Your Workspace Settings

After logging in, click your profile avatar in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
Then, select Workspace Settings from the dropdown menu.

Here you’ll find everything related to your workspace—from its name and logo to roles, permissions, and preferences.


Step 2: Update Basic Information

Keep your workspace details up to date to make collaboration clear and professional.

  • Workspace Name: Change or update your workspace name anytime (e.g., your company name or team name).
  • Description (Optional): Add a short description to help new members understand your workspace purpose.
  • Industry Category: Choose an industry that best represents your work to get tailored recommendations.

Tip: Your workspace name appears across invites, dashboards, and reports—choose something recognizable to your team.


Step 3: Add Your Branding

Make your workspace feel truly yours.

  • Upload a Logo: Add your brand or team logo for a personalized look.
  • Set Workspace Colors (if available): Choose accent colors that match your branding for a cohesive design.
  • Custom Domain (for teams): Upgrade to a plan that lets you use your own domain for an even more branded experience.


Step 4: Manage Roles & Permissions

Define who can do what inside your workspace:

  • Admins: Full access to all settings, billing, and team management.
  • Managers: Can create and manage projects and teams.
  • Members: Can view, update, and complete assigned tasks.

To manage roles:

  1. Go to Team Settings > Members
  2. Find the member you want to update
  3. Click Edit Role and choose the appropriate access level

Set clear permissions to keep collaboration secure and well-organized.


Step 5: Adjust Preferences

Tailor how your workspace behaves to fit your daily workflow:

  • Notifications: Choose which alerts you receive and how (email, in-app, or both).
  • Default Views: Set your preferred dashboard layout—list, board, or timeline.
  • Time Zone: Make sure your workspace reflects your team’s correct local time.
  • Language (coming soon): Switch to your preferred language for a smoother experience.
