Inviting Team Members to Your Workspace

Your WorkOwl Workspace is even more powerful when you bring your team on board. Whether you’re working with a few teammates or managing an entire department, inviting members to your workspace takes just a few clicks.

Here’s how to do it step-by-step.


Step 1: Go to Team Settings

After logging into your account, open your Dashboard and click your profile avatar in the top-right corner.
Select Team Settings from the dropdown menu.

In this section, you’ll see a list of your current team members and their roles (Admin, Manager, or Member).


Step 2: Invite New Team Members

  1. Click on the “Invite Member” button.
  2. Enter the email address of the person you want to invite.
  3. Choose their role (admin, manager, or member).
  4. Click Send Invite.

Your teammate will receive an email invitation with a link to join your workspace. Once they accept, they’ll be able to log in, view assigned projects, and start collaborating right away.

Tip: You can invite multiple members at once—just separate their emails with commas.


Step 3: Assign Roles & Permissions

Each role in WorkOwl determines what a team member can see and do:

  • Admin: Full access to all workspace settings, billing, and user management.
  • Manager: Can create and manage projects, assign tasks, and oversee progress.
  • Member: Can view and complete assigned tasks and participate in discussions.

You can update a member’s role anytime by returning to Team Settings > Members and clicking Edit Role.


Step 4: Manage Active Members

Once your team is set up, you can easily manage them from the Team Settings page.

  • View Activity: See who’s online and active in your workspace.
  • Deactivate or Remove Members: Revoke access instantly if someone leaves the team.
  • Resend Invites: If someone hasn’t joined yet, click Resend Invitation to remind them.

Keeping your member list up to date helps maintain a secure and organized workspace.


Step 5: Start Collaborating

After your team members join, you can:

  • Assign tasks or projects directly to them.
  • Tag teammates using @username in comments.
  • Share files and updates in real time.
  • Track progress together from your Dashboard.
